Make sure to pack swimwear, workout clothes and a good mood so you can take full advantage of Metalskolen Jørlunde many offers. Equipment, instructions and tips are available at the reception.

Indoor activities
- Billiards – near the cosy Slyngelstue and beverage vending machines
- Table football – fun for everyone – young and old alike
- Table tennis – always gets your heart pumping
- Board games – challenge a new acquaintance to a game of chess or backgammon
- Darts – located behind Slyngelstue 2
- Gym – get in a workout while you’re here
- Pool – in our Evening Rooms area
- Sauna – soothe sore muscles in the centre’s 2 saunas
- Spinning room – with room for group training
- Swimming pool – heated 25-metre pool in beautiful surroundings

Outdoor activities
- Bikes – we have bikes and helmets in different sizes
- Fishing – borrow rods and tackle for a relaxing fishing trip
- Football – can be played using handball goals – balls and jerseys can be borrowed
- Canoes – two 3-person and 3 two-person canoes are available for trips out on Buresø lake
- Kubb (Kongespil) – can be played outdoors on one of the grassy areas
- Mountain bikes – can be borrowed by prior agreement
- Pétanque courts – relaxing fun for everyone
- Danish softball fields – you form the teams, we provide the gear
- Chess – giant chess board for multiple players
- Tennis court (clay) – borrow rackets and balls from us or bring your own

- Library – with fiction and non-fiction and for dark evenings and quiet time
- The Union Flags – the red flags of the many trade unions united in the Danish Metal Workers’ Union are displayed in glass cases in the museum
- Historical Library – featuring the Danish Metal Workers’ Union’s extensive collection of original publications dating back to the 1800s
- Art – a large collection of original paintings, fine art, sculptures and more
- Museum – explore the history of the Danish Metal Workers’ Union

Hiking and running
- Running routes – 3, 5 or 8 km
- Buresø Lake route (8 km) – a good walk – why not order a picnic basket for the trip
- Trail system – with QR codes winding through Metalskolen Jørlunde’s 23 acres

- Designated bike routes in North Zealand – tour North Zealand or choose a route close to Metalskolen Jørlunde
- Cycling experiences in Fjordlandet – choose a pleasant ride at a moderate pace or one of the many mountain bike routes
After the day’s meetings at Metalskolen Jørlunde, you can enjoy your leisure time in the fresh air with a quiet moment alone or with your new acquaintances. If you choose to go for a walk, we recommend visiting the famed Teddy’s house from the Danish children’s TV show Bamse & Kylling which is located on the 23-acre park. You can also see the tree that was planted to celebrate the Danish winners of Olympic gold medal in Women’s Handball in 1996.
You are also welcome to enjoy a cup of coffee and a good book on our large terrace or in the small courtyards.
